The Department of Medicine's
Office of Research Administration
provides support services for research development, management, and communications.
They maintain a P.I. Handbook,
intended to assist with grant preparation.
The School of Medicine's Research Web Site
provides a database of funding opportunities and a database of faculty research interests.
UCLA Research provides links for research
administration, corporate and foundation support, protection of research subject,
intellectual property management, and an overview of the research efforts underway at UCLA.
The NIH Guide Mailing List
delivers a synopsis of NIH funding opportunities to your email every Friday. This is a
critical resource that all faculty who are potential principal investigators should
probably subscribe to.
ScienceWise Alert is a commercial service that you
can set up to search funding opportunity announcements from a variety of sources. They
currently charge $178/year, but they offer a free 30-day trial.
