UCLA CFAR Adherence
What We Do for You The adherence core provides research consultation and facilitation to students, fellows, junior and senior investigators, industry, foundations, and the community in the area of patient adherence to HIV regimens. The Adherence core is a multidisciplinary approach to study adherence in HIV-infected persons and is comprised of experts from a variety of disciplines such as behavioral science, clinical medicine, health services research, social science, and biostatistics. We conduct research on adherence to HIV medications and utilize state-of-the-art methods. Our core's purpose is to assist in development of measures of adherence, understand the determinants of adherence, assist implementation of adherence measures into psychological, clinical, and basic science research, and assist investigators in conducting studies of adherence with diverse populations and communities in a culturally sensitive and congruent manner. We aim to foster university-wide and other partnerships among HIV investigators. For information, go to UCLA AIDS Institute Adherence HIV Medication page.
